Service will remember prominent Bedford businessman.

A memorial service for much-loved businessman David Ledsom will be held at Bedford Rugby Club on Thursday, December 4.

Mr Ledsom, 62, who died suddenly last Tuesday, co-founded construction company SDC in 1972 and headed a consortium which saved the Blues from
collapse in 1999.

The service will begin at 2.30pm, and his family has asked for any donations to go the St George's Charity, the fund started by Mr Ledsom to benefit a variety of local charities.

The service will take place in the marquee at Goldington Road and could be relayed into the scrum hall if appropriate.
