Warriors and Gladiators display their skills

The young Warriors and Gladiators sides from Bedford Junior Blues played some outstanding rugby when hosting Ampthill and St Neots.

Ampthill, in particular, arrived with a very good reputation, but the competitive nature of the games proved that the young Blues' transition from tag to contact rugby is going well.

Warriors lost narrowly 2-0 to Ampthill A before defeating Amps B 4-0. They rounded things off with a 3-0 victory over St Neots.

The Gladiators, meanwhile, recovered from a 5-0 reverse against Ampthill A to beat Ampthill B 7-0 and followed that up with a 6-0 defeat of St Neots.

The Warriors team consisted of Jed Davidson, Jack Davenport, Oliver Colbert, Dio Antille, Joe Sumner, Alex Breeze, George Kelly, Myles Haughton, Dillon Bradbury, Sam Perkins and Thomas Moran.

For the Gladiators, the squad was Oliver Marginson, Patrick Keaveney, William Davies, Harry Sutton, Conor Finch, Alex Churchill, Jamie Frost, Rory Barton, Alastair Caffrey, Ben Wilshaw Quinn and Adam Richardson.
