Shrove Tuesday at The Haven nursery
Little learners had a flipping brilliant Pancake Day on Tuesday.
Tots at The Haven nursery in Bedford celebrated Shrove Tuesday by taking part in a batter cooking and pancake tossing race.
But the fun had a serious message and staff at the Clapham Road nursery took the opportunity to teach the youngsters all about nutrition and exercise.
Maria Riley, who works at The Haven, said; "We like to combine early learning about healthy eating with fitness and fun here at The Haven."
The family run centre recently won a Healthy Under 5s catering award, and staff made sure that a nutritious lesson was learned by all the children amidst all the feasting and fun.
