The police squadron at RAF Henlow is the only one in the country.

The squadron currently has 39 reserves out of a possible 52.

You do not have to be a member of the civlian police to join the police
squadron. It can accept anybody aged from 18 to around 55.

Once signed up, a recruit will undertake around two years of training during which they will need to pass a fitness test, and will receive full training in military law, weapons, patrolling, and air transport security, to name just a few disciplines.

Once fully trained, squadron personnel will have the opportunity to deploy with their regular RAF counterparts on operations ranging from short air transport security duties of a few days' duration to full deployments, as well as participating in joint national and international training exercises.

Anyone wanting to sign up can log on to www.raf.mod.uk/rafreserves
