Cosworth found after owner turned to her local paper

A ginger tomcat who went awol for around eight weeks is now back home safe and sound.

And it's thanks to a piece in this website's sister paper, the Dunstable Gazette, helped find the ginger moggie.

His owner, Claire Lee, of Spoondell, Dunstable, phoned the paper in February about her missing pet.

The long search began which included posters around the estate and Claire placing cat traps.

But after a reader from Whipsnade Road read the missing cat piece, he realised its was the one he'd been leaving out food for, in his garage.

He immediately phoned Claire and a cat trap was put up near the man's home.

And now the "cheeky" cat is back with his family and despite being a bit wet from his adventure Claire said he hadn't lost much weight.

For more news from the heart of your community, buy the Dunstable Gazette at local newsagents, priced 40p.
