He repeatedly broke restrictions placed on him, court hears

One of five men banned from Dunstable town centre, accused of 'terrorising businesses and local people', has been given a jail sentence. Eamon Dennison, 42, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to 140 days in prison for breaching the ban.

He was given the jail sentence at Luton County Court on Friday, October 10. The injunction banning him from the town centre area was imposed on February 1. That followed an application by South Beds District Council.

A series of complaints had been received about anti-social behaviour involving Dennison and other people. Beds Police and the council joined forces over the town centre ban, in a bid to solve the problems.

Despite being warned, Dennison breached the conditions of the injunction, by entering the area from which he is banned, on a number of occasions.

He and four other men are still banned from Dunstable town centre. An interim ban on a sixth man was lifted on February 18, after he was said to be committed to changing his attitude to life.
