Media and public thanked for their help

A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after an assault on a security guard in Dunstable.

The guard suffered four fractures to his cheek in the attack, in Humphrys Road, on the Woodside Industrial Estate.

He had to undergo surgery to have metal plates fitted after the assault, which happened on August 6.

Dunstable detectives issued a CCTV picture, published in the Dunstable Gazette, showing two people they wanted to interview.

On Thursday, October 9, Michael Gregory, 18, of Radnor Road, Luton, was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

He will appear at Luton Magistrates Court on October 29.

Another man, who went to Dunstable Police Station on September 25, has been interviewed and released without charge.

Det Con Martin Eaton, leading the inquiry, has now thanked the media and the public for their help.
