Dunstable parade followed by string of presentations
As many as 400 beavers, cubs, scouts, explorer scouts and leaders were involved in Sunday's annual St George's Day parade and service in Dunstable.

The parade left Ashton Middle School led by the Glen-Trew Pipe Band and paraded up the High Street into West Street to St Mary's Catholic Church for a service which was also attended by about 100 parents.

The service was led by Major Paul Wright from the Salvation Army in Dunstable and guests included the Mayor of Dunstable Councillor Brenda Boatwright, the South Beds District Council vice-chairman Councillor Ruth Gammons and divisional guide commissioner Mrs Wendy Minnis.

During the service all beavers, cubs, scouts and leaders renewed their promise, followed by an address by Major Wright and county commissioner John Duley presented awards to a number of leaders.

For full details see the April 30 edition of the Dunstable Gazette. `
