They don't need nappy changes, nor do they require you to leave the warmth of your bed in the middle of the night to comfort or feed them. Better still, they deal with their own dribble and poops! They are the perfect babies, and oh, so cute. Sammy Jones visited Woburn Safari Park to meet them...As soon as we make tracks inside their enclosure, bundles of black and white fluff race towards us, and begin eagerly investigating.
Along with our camera equipment, shoes prove to be of particular interest, and two of the more inquisitive spend ten minutes obsessively examining every last thread of the canvas on my feet.
Lemurs – as you'll know if you've ever previously made acquaintance – are sweet as can be, but even the Black and White Ruffed variety are up against some stiff competition when faced with the newest arrival – a delightful red-bellied baby called Cody.
Introductions over and pictures in the bag, and we leave Cody and pals and make our way to meet the stripiest new arrivals in the park.

There are three Grevy's Zebra babies this season, all under three months old and made all the more special because these are the first rugrats in three years at the park.
There are three baby giraffe on site, too – Icarus is only four months old but already six feet tall. You can't call him an ankle-biter!
These majestic animals are critically endangered – at worst, estimates are that as few as 40 Rothschild Giraffe now remain in the wild. We may presume to be a superior breed, but what a disgusting trail of devastation we leave in our wake.
Thankfully, Woburn is one of the places going all out to make a difference, and we watch a serene Icarus poking his tongue out and soaking up his surroundings.I wonder if he realises just how special, and how important a creature he really is...
Across the monkey breeds here, there are currently two babies, two infants and three more babies expected making for plenty of monkey business!
Woburn Safari Park is open 10am-5pm, and from Saturday through to Monday this week, a funfair will also be housed at the venue. For ticket enquiries and bookings, call 01525 290407 or go online to www.woburnsafari.co.uk.
