People in Luton have been warned that they are 'sleepwalking into a nightmare' over plans to redraw flightpaths around the town's airport.
Householders have been urged to make their feelings known before it is too late, amid fears that a huge volume of planes could soon be flying low over town.
Anyone affected by the upheaval has until June 19 to let National Air Traffic System - the company behind the plans - know what they think.
This week Luton South MP Margaret Moran called on directors at Luton Airport to be 'good neighbours' and oppose the plans, claiming the airport still has room to expand using existing flightpaths.
She told this website: 'We're sleepwalking into a nightmare here. Luton is the worst affected area in the whole of England.
'I've been outraged by the lack of consultation NATS has done.
'All they did was send out huge documentation, there was no consultation with residents. I think we've got to have a fightback against this.'
