Squash round-up

Luton & Dunstable Squash Club suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 18-3 to reigning county champions Silsoe.

Steve Davies was the only Luton player to register victory with a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Ross Proudfoot, but that was as good as it got for Luton who lost the other four matches.

After the loss, captain Dean Pike said: "We are terribly disappointed to lose four of the five games in the manner we did.

"Thankfully, first string Steve Davies won 3-0 to save a whitewash, but a match score of 18-3 is a bitter pill to swallow.

"We have to improve in our next match against Open University 1."

Luton & Dunstable 3 Silsoe 18: Steve Davies 3 Ross Proudfoot 0; Declan Osborn 0 Greg Proudfoot 3; David Lankester 0 Nathan Derrick 3; Dean Pike 0 Mark Tentori 3; Steve Wells 0 Richard Earl 3.
