Cambridge boss believes the Hatters can still win the Blue Square Premier title
Jubilant Cambridge United manager Martin Ling admitted that his side had had some luck as they came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
And he believes that the Hatters still have a chance of grabbing the Blue Square Premier title despite suffering a late set-back against the U's.
He said: He said: "If you're going to come to Luton you need a bit of luck.
"There were times when they had players free and picked the wrong options.
"It's a good turn of fortune and about time.
"It's a hard place to come and anyone who finishes above Luton will win this league.
"This club will definitely be top five and still have a chance for the championship with their resources."
And while Ling felt his side should have defended better for the Hatters' first goal he had no complaints about Tom Craddock's fabulous 30-yard strike for the second.
He said: "They got two-up - we talked about set plays at half-time.
"We haven't got a lot of complaints about the second goal, it's a great goal from Tom Craddock."
But Ling was pleased with the way his side fought back, and felt they played their best stuff when they had nothing to lose.
He added: "We did that when the restraints and the handcuffs were off us at 2-0.
"Chris Holroyd missing the penalty, you think it's not your day.
"It's a very valuable point and good to see Crowy (Danny Crow) getting two goals as well."
