Chubb could be key to Luton's pack

Lutonians have strengthened their pack with the signing of Australian prop Duncan Chubb.

Chubb has been playing in the New South Wales Premiership competition in Sydney for Southern Districts Rugby Club - the highest club level in Australia in the same league as sides such as Paramatta, Manley, West Harbour and Randwick.

This league is one level below the NSW Waratahs Super 14 side.
Director of rugby Denis Ormesher said: "The signing of Duncan is a further step in strengthening our pack.

"Duncan is only a youngster but he has played at a high level in Australia, and comes highly recommended by his current coach, Don MacKinnon, who played in the Northampton Saints European Cup winning side in 2000 with Matt Allen."

Chubb has previously represented Australian Schoolboys XV, Coffs Harbour senior XV and the New South Wales Cockatoo Representative side.
