Paul McVeigh has joined Norwich City for pre-season training.
McVeigh, who spent seven years at Carrow Road between 2000 and 2007, was released by Luton at the end of the season.

Canaries boss Bryan Gunn said: "Paul and I had a chat during the summer and he told me about his contractual situation.

"I said 'Come in and join us for pre-season'. There are no strings attached either way but if he impresses not only me, but the other coaches, who knows?"

Feeney opts to move to Leeds

Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney has decided against a move to Grimsby Town in favour of a switch to League One outfit Leeds United.

The former Luton Town man, who spent last season on loan at Dundee United, had a medical at Elland Road last week and Grimsby boss, and ex-Luton manager, Mike Newell highlighted the financial resources available as the reason he missed his target.

He said: "I did have a number of conversations with Warren and he was interested in a move here – he was seriously considering it.

"He didn't dismiss it out of hand, but when Leeds showed an interest, it was hard for us to compete with their financial resources. Had we been able to get to their level, we would have had a good chance of signing Warren, but ultimately it was difficult for us to match them."

Ovendale appears at Dorchester

Former Luton Town keeper Mark Ovendale is training with Blue Square South side Dorchester Town.

The 35-year-old stopper, who joined the Hatters for £425,000 in 2000, took part in the Magpie's first session which was held at the Thomas Hardye Leisure Centre.

Dorchester assistant boss Ashley Vickers said: "It was a good first session.

"The lads have had a taste of pre-season so now we'll get stuck into things and take it from there."

Hammers linked to keeper Davis

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Kelvin Davis.
The keeper, who is available on a free transfer from crisis-hit Southampton, has been attracting the attention of Leeds United, but the Hammers could want him to provide cover for Robert Green.

The 32-year-old ex-Hatter, who has also played for Wimbledon, Ipswich and Sunderland, could replace Jan Lastuvka at Upton Park.
