Home Counties ABA Junior Championships
Luton Shamrock ABC has high hopes for young boxer Jack Price after he won the Home Counties ABA Junior Championship at Milton Keynes last Friday.
Price, who has only just turned 16 and boxes in the 67kg weight division, went into the championship full of confidence with eight wins under his belt.
Unfortunately the final turned out to be somewhat of an anti-climax as his opponent could not make the weight on the night. As a result, Price was given a walkover victory and was crowned 2008 home counties champion.
A Shamrock spokesman said: "Jack is a strong young boxer with great technique and is improving all the time and we are looking for him to have a good run in the junior section of the ABAs this year."
Price will now box the London area champion at Berinsfield on Saturday, May 10.
