Under 18s 'did well in poor conditions'

Luton Town's U18s recorded their third consecutive draw in the Puma Youth Alliance Cup as they shared a goalless stalemate at Leyton Orient on October 4.

They did well to hold out, especially after losing promising centre-half Fabio Bufano with a shin injury just 13 minutes into the contest.

Director of youth Alan Neilson said: 'I thought we did very well on what was a very tricky and poor pitch in windy conditions and, to be fair, we had two or three good chances.

'Adam Watkins had a very good chance in the first half, in what was his comeback game, and I also thought (Ricci] Biggi was magnificent at the back for us.'

Having also drawn with Northampton Town 0-0 and Peterborough United 1-1 so far in the competition, Luton will be looking to claim their first win on Saturday when they make the trip to Gillingham.

HATTERS (4-4-2): Fletcher, Deeney, Bufano (Cleaver 13), Biggi, Carney, Wood, Barker, Owusu, Nathaniel, Patrick, Watkins (Harriet 45).
