A children’s Christmas party helped to raise hundreds for Kids In Action and The Salvation Army on Sunday.

ABC Parties, Charmed Events and DJ Big Man Craig organised the party at The Ivory Lounge to raise money for the charities and help Dunstable Foodbank.

Children were encouraged to donate an item of food to the foodbank in exchange for a present from Santa, the team donated 250 items of food.

Craig Lithgo, also known as DJ Big Craig, said: “The party was really really good, we had so much positive feedback. We raised a total of £692.28 on the day which we have rounded up to £700, which will be split between two fantastic charities, Kids In Action and The Salvation Army, both in Dunstable.

“We had 110 children come to the party, with all the great. positive feedback we will do it again next year, bigger and better!”
