A hole lot of bother after cold snap

It’s that time of year again – the potholes are back.

January’s spell of snow and ice means defects in the roads have turned into substantial holes, and in areas that see heavy traffic they’re getting worse by the day.

There are some real beauties opening up on the roads around Luton and Dunstable, causing headaches for motorists and cyclists alike.

So we’re bringing back Pothole Watch, which we first ran in 2010, so that you can tell us about the state of the roads in your area.

Send details of holes you’ve spotted to editorial@lutonnews.co.uk, and we’ll add them to our interactive map and alert the relevant highways authority. Or you can tweet the details to @lutonnews
If you’ve had a run-in with a pothole that’s caused damage to your car or bike, let us know.

And if you want to praise council workers for speedy repair work, we’d like to hear your comments too
