A business woman from Dunstable is ‘over the moon’ that the England football team have been given her coaster sets as gifts, ahead of the World Cup.

Pat Bonner, owner of Quality Cargo, they take images from vintage football programmes and place them on Italian ceramic tiles.

She said: “I was contacted by The Grove hotel, where the players stayed before they flew to Brazil, they wanted to give the England players and staff a gift to wish them luck at the World Cup.

“They liked the vintage 1966 World Cup design and thought that they would be a perfect present.”

The online retailer, Quality Coasters, started in 2005.

Ms Bonner said: “I knew there was a gap in the market for good quality gifts for men, and football is the national sport and has millions of fans of all ages. These coasters fit the bill, they make a unique gift.

Ms Bonner said: “They bought 66 sets and they have been given to the entire England Squad, staff and management.

“I am over the moon, it’s great for my company that they wanted to give these sets as gifts to the national team, let’s hope it brings them luck and they repeat what the 1966 team did.”

England kick off their campaign against Italy.
