St George’s Day is being celebrated by Dunstable Town Council with an event at Priory House on Saturday, April 19

from 10 am to 4 pm.

Visitors can enjoy performances by Punch & Judy, take part in a maypole dancing workshop and create their own knight’s sword and helmet and more at the craft stall.

For those who want to go on a quest, there will be dragons hidden around the town centre that knights and princesses will have to look for, earning themselves a prize if they find them all.

The best-dressed knight and princess will also win a prize.

Chairman of community services, Councillor Liz Jones, said: “This St George’s Day event is always a great opportunity to celebrate our nation’s patron in a fun and engaging way for all of the family.”

There will be an outdoor TV screen featuring How To Train Your Dragon and Disney’s Justin And The Knights Of Valour.

And a stilt-walking knight and a dragon will be mingling with visitors.
