Boy in hospital after road accident in Houghton Regis

A 10-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a head injury after a road traffic collision in Houghton Regis.

It is understood that the accident happened near Morrisons. The boy is believed to have been on a scooter before the collision with a car.

An East of England Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 3.25pm to High Street, Houghton Regis to reports of a boy involved in a collision with a vehicle.

“There was an off-duty nurse who assisted him in the meantime.

“He had a head injury and was taken to Luton & Dunstable Hospital..”

A Beds Police spokesman confirmed that they had been called to the incident at 11.37pm. The boy’s injury is not thought to have been serious.
