Delivery driver ‘shaken’ after Dunstable robbery

A fast food delivery driver was attacked and robbed in Dunstable last Friday (27 May).

Between 10.30pm and 11pm the man was attacked in New Woodfield Green at the junction with Southwood Road.

A yob opened the door of the victim’s car and attacked him while demanding money. He took a small bag of coins and made off with two other men, who are not believed to be involved.

The offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 30-years-old, around 6’3” and of stocky build.

He had swept back gelled hair and spoke with an Irish accent. He was wearing a white t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

PC Andy Stevens said: “This was a frightening and violent incident that has left the victim shaken. This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or a man matching this description in the area. We are committed to finding the person responsible and would urge anyone with information to come forward.”
