Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 26 year old woman was sexually assaulted in Dunstable on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 3.25pm on a pathway in Stokers Close as the victim was cycling to work.

The attacker, a white man, around 5ft 10ins tall, with bushy brown eyebrows, yellow teeth with a gap in the middle and wearing a black hooded top with fur around it, was walking a black Staffordshire bull terrier.

He asked the victim if she had a lighter and when she stopped he tried to strike up a conversation before attempting to grope her groin.

The woman shouted at the man who then ran away

Det Con Claire Long is investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who saw the attack or may have information about the man.
