Residents across Dunstable have been urged to stay vigilant after a home was burgled on Monday.
Burglars damaged the rear kitchen window and door of a home in Linden Drive, Dunstable, when they gained entry sometime between 10am and 7pm.
They stole a number of items including a Hewlett Packard laptop, nine carat gold wedding band, 18 carat gold diamond ring (with a one carat stone), bank cards, a gold charm bracelet with 10 charms and a gold curb chain necklace.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen someone suspicious in the area during the day to call them on 101 and quote the crime number- JD/45929/14.
Detective Sergeant Simon Hancock said: “It is an unfortunate fact that in the run up to Christmas burglary increases as the nights draw in.
