Teenage girl grabbed by man in Houghton Regis alleyway

A teenage girl was grabbed by a man as she walked through an alleyway in Houghton Regis.

The incident happened at 8.10am on the morning of Wednesday, March 12.

The girl was walking through the alley off Park Road North when a man grabbed her arm and asked her to come with him.

She refused and he grabbed her arm even harder. The victim managed to free herself and ran to a place of safety.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Greenacre said: “We believe that this is an isolated incident so we don’t want to worry people unduly. However, we do want people to keep an eye out for anyone in the area who may be acting suspiciously.”

The man is described as white with a tan, approximately 5’8”, of average build, and in his late 20s or early 30s. He has brown hair and was wearing baggy blue jeans and a grey hoody.
