Woman had lit cigarette flicked in her face in Dunstable road rage

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a road rage assault in Dunstable.

On Friday (17 February) at approximately 12.10pm a woman was driving her car along Court Drive in Dunstable, when she was approached by a man while waiting in traffic.

The man was verbally abusive and threatened the victim; he then pushed the woman and flicked a lit cigarette in her face.

The offender is described as approximately 28 years old, slim and around 5’8’’. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans and was believed to be driving a WG63 registration plate red Audi with a female passenger inside.

PC Kirsty Forth, investigating, said: “This was an unacceptable incident which understandably left the victim upset. We will not tolerate this kind of behavior and we are keen to speak with anyone who might have witnessed this assault.

“We are especially interested in the female driver of a white BMW who might have seen this incident.”
