Dunstable library is hosting a free workshop on Tuesday, November 11, for anyone interested in tracing their First World War Army ancestors. The session will be from 11am till 12.30pm and will give people the chance to use the internet to trace their ancestors.
Mr Tooley, who compiles the Dunstable AT War website, will be giving a talk at 9.45am.
Councillor Ian Dalgarno said: “This year marks the centenary of the start of the First World War, which saw thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds from across Central Bedfordshire uniting to take part in the war effort.
“More than 1,500 young men from across the area were killed in the conflict, with many others injured.
“It may be 100 years since the start of the war, but it’s important that we don’t forget their heroism and selfless behaviour, and these workshops will help to do just that.”
