Members of a Christian charity visited Dunstable market on Saturday morning to hand out 100 food bags to those in need this Christmas.
My Fathers House, based at Mountbatten House, High Street South, started the Raven Project to help those who cannot provide meals for themselves.
One of the recipients of the project was Home-Start Central Bedfordshire, a local organisation that supports families with young children and helps them to build better lives for their children.
Kemisola Akinfisoye, one of the Raven Project organisers, said: “A major aspect of our commission as Christians is to reach out to people in love; the Raven Project gives us an opportunity as a Church to fulfil this part of Christ’s great commission.
“We would like to express our appreciation to Asda at Dunstable who made a contribution towards the food hampers via their in-store token scheme.”
