Young musicians have been encouraged to keep practising their music by the musical director of the Dunstable Town band.

Dr Paul Burrett visited a Pebble Music School workshop during the February half term and spoke to the children about their musical careers.

He was joined by the secretary of the band, Jo Leete, and town councillor Ann Sparrow.

The music school hold workshops during the school holidays for children who want to continue learning and practising.

Chris Taverner, one of the music teachers, said: “We had a brilliant few workshops over the half term.

“The children made some great noises and we had visits from Ann, Jo and Paul.

“They took time to sit with the children and have a chat about the possibilities that await them as they travel through their musical careers.”
