A pub that has been in Dunstable for over 100 years closed its doors for the last time on Thursday, after it was sold by pub operator Greene King.

First & Last, on the corner of Station Road and Church Street, has been serving the Dunstable community since the early 1900’s.

Greene King is now working with the team to find alternative employment for staff. A Greene King spokesperson said: “As a leading pub operator and brewer, we are committed to running high quality community pubs. To be able to continue to invest in our estate, from time to time we have to make the difficult decision to sell pubs.

“After much consideration, we decided to put the First & Last on the market and have now found a buyer.

“The pub closed on Thursday 2 March and we are working with the team there to find them alternative employment where possible at our other nearby pubs.”
