You’ll have heard of ‘Around The World In 80 Days’, but now you can do it in one day.
Keen explorers and people interested in other cultures will be able to join a free Around The World event, hosted by Dunstable Town Council, in Priory Gardens on Saturday, May 17.
Visitors can walk from continent to continent and experience different dances and music, from flamenco and tango to Irish dancing and a Chinese lion dance.
There will also be a chance to interact with themed stalls specific to all seven continents, with martial arts and African drumming taster sessions, Bollywood dancing and even boomerang displays.
Whether you are interested in learning about different places or you just want a chance to travel the world, there is something for everyone, from face painting and listening to stories to going on rides and taking part in taster sessions.
Among other attractions are a craft stall and exotic animals to view.
Councillor Liz Jones said: “This event is an excellent way to interact and learn about different cultures of the world, engaging all age ranges in a different and unique manner. It’s a great fun, free family day out.”
Around The World runs from 10am to 4pm. The main event is in Priory Gardens, but other activities are in Ashton Square. For further details visit www.dunstable.gov.uk
