Police appeal

Police appeal

Detectives in Dunstable are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 32-year-old man was threatened with a knife and had his motorbike stolen close to Dunstable Downs on Saturday evening.

The incident took place between 6.30pm and 7pm after the victim had stopped in a lay-by for a comfort break.

When he returned to his motorbike – a black Leximoto Arrow 125 with registration number BX12FPP – he was confronted by three robbers who threatened him with a large knife and demanded that he handed over the keys.

The victim did as he was told and one of the offenders fled on the motorbike while the other two made off on foot.

Det Con Dave Brecknock, who is investigating the robbery, would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack and may have seen the offenders, who were all white men wearing balaclavas and gloves.

The thief who took the motorbike was around 6ft tall, of average build and had brown eyes.

If you have information relating to this incident, contact Det Con Brecknock, in confidence, on 01582 394499, the non-emergency number 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
