A boy was airlifted to hospital with head, leg and arm injuries after a road accident in Dunstable today, Monday, March 3.
The young pedestrian, thought to be aged about 11, was injured in an accident which involved a Renault car.
His condition is thought to be serious.
Emergency services were called just after 9.20am to the scene of the accident, at the junction of Hadrian Avenue and Duncombe Drive, near Hadrian Academy.
Ambulance personnel attended and the boy was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, by Essex Air Ambulance.
Several roads were closed for a time, to allow the air ambulance to land.
