A celebrity chef will judge a new recipe competition for Bedfordshire youngsters keen to win a healthy helping of success.
The Healthy Lifestyle Young Chef Award contest has two categories, for children aged five to nine, and for young cooks aged 10-15.
The challenge is for youngsters to come up with their dream recipe to impress the VIP chef, whose identity has not yet been revealed.
They must be healthy options, whether they are smoothies, sandwich fillings, meals or other tasty treats.
The contest is being run by a social enterprise team, My Healthy Lifestyle CIC (community interest company).
Director Janet Theodore said: “It will help them to understand a little more about the benefits of healthy eating.”
The winning recipe will go on menus at planned community cafes linked to the team.
There is no charge to enter the contest. Closing date is October 28.
> Entries should be written in English and emailed to email@example.com with the entrant’s name, date of birth, contact details, recipe ingredients and preparation instructions.
