More than 180 Dunstable Cub Scouts and 50 adult volunteers spent a weekend outdoors at a suumer Christmas-themed camp!
Not only were there Christmas presents and Christmas dinner, there were trees, decorations, skiing and a snowball fight.
The youngsters were able to practise circus skills, try and balance on a rather large ball and go down the water slide. They also had the opportunity to do some map reading and help young people to raise funds to enable them to go to the World Scout Jamboree next year by visiting their tuck shop.
Drew March, from 1st Eaton Bray and Edlesborough, said the things she liked about Scouting were the different activities. She added: “I like going hiking and camping and loved cooking toffee apples.”
Adult volunteer Matt Simmons said that being involved in Scouting had helped him develop numerous skills ranging from communicating with people and leading a team of adults to organising events.
