A housebuilder’s proposals to build a new development of around 190 new homes in Houghton Regis were due to go on show today, Thursday.
The public exhibition on the plan, which includes affordable housing, will also be on display on Friday.
Taylor Wimpey South East wants feedback on a plan to build the new homes on a 6.8-hectare site east of Bedford Road, north of Churchfield Road and west of Tithe Farm Primary School.
The exhibition is at Tithe Farm Primary, Tithe Farm Road, Houghton, 5pm-8pm today, and 4pm-8pm on Friday.
Taylor Wimpey’s project team and Central Beds Council officers will be on hand.
Visitors’ views will help shape a formal planning application, expected to be submitted “in the near future”.
The housebuilder proposes access to the homes would be from a new mini roundabout in Bedford Road, where there would be extra traffic calming measures and improvements to footways and crossing facilities.
Taylor Wimpey strategic projects manager Andrew Tildesley said: “We want to give Houghton Regis residents every opportunity to view and comment on these proposals.”
