Incredible Edible, the volunteer group that grows fruit and vegetables for the community, are celebrating their first birthday on Sunday, July 6.
The public garden was created last year at Katherine Drive and is for everyone to use.
Sahira (pronounced Syra) Ward, founder of the group, said: “We want residents to come down and see what we have created, it is a community project and we need more residents to get involved.
“We are giving away the things we grow for free, but we hope people will helps us maintain the garden in return.”
To celebrate what the group has achieved they are holding a party from 2pm till 4pm, the Dunstable Town Mayor will be judging the fancy dress competition.
Sahira is at the garden on the first Sunday of every month, from 10am till 12pm, she said: “I am always there and would love for the locals to come down, it’s team work that makes this garden a success.”
The group have been entered into the Dunstable Bloom competition for the best Community Project, to vote go to www.facebook.com/rhscommunitygardening, voting ends Sunday, June 1.
