MP Andrew Selous has welcomed news that unemployment in South West Beds in July 2013 was just 1,863 – 3.4 per cent of the economically-active population.
The number of claimants is 339 fewer than in July 2012 and 32 fewer than in June 2013.
Mr Selous said: “The provision of jobs for my constituents is one of my very highest priorities. It is very good to see the number of people claiming Jobseekers Allowance falling further.
“I will continue to do everything I can to help local employers set up and expand their businesses.”
