A group of residents are calling on the council to evict a Dunstable family “causing hell” for neighbours night and day.

A large number of homeowners in Britain Street are drafting a petition to get rid of the family, who were moved into the property six weeks ago by Central Beds Council.

Britain Street residents have reported a wide array of anti-social behaviour – ranging from severe noise complaints to persistent attacks on property and pets – and have demanded intervention to ease the problems.

One homeowner, who wished not to be named, admitted that they had been forced to call the police five times in one weekend, just three weeks after the family were housed in Britain Street.

The resident added: “There is screaming, shouting and arguments all day, every day.
