South West Beds MP Andrew Selous really was in the pink when he showed support for a Breast Cancer Campaign fundraising event.
The charity’s “wear it pink” day is going ahead on Friday, October 25 this year.
And Mr Selous sported snazzy pink-rimmed sunglasses, a pinkish tie and a rosy handkerchief to help promote the special day.
The MP said the fundraising day has collected a whopping £23 million over the past 10 years.
Now he is encouraging people to give their backing to this year’s event to raise vital funds for life-saving research.
Mr Selous said: “Every year in the UK, around 50,000 women and around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer. Sadly, 12,000 women and 80 men die from this disease.
“This is why we need to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s fundraising efforts so they can continue to fund research which will one day lead to a cure.
“So join me, wear something pink and donate £2, it’s really as simple as that.”
