A teenager was attacked with a metal object by a group of older youths in Houghton Regis on Friday (December 7).

The 13-year-old male victim was approached by a group of youths aged about 15-16, who demanded he hand over his mobile phone outside Johnson Court in Parkside Drive.

He was then struck by the object – believed to be bicycle handlebars – and was taken to Luton & Dunstable Hospital where he was treated for minor head injuries.

Witnesses to the assault – which happened at about 4.50pm – are being urged to come forward.

Call 101 with information.
