Schools in Central Beds look likely to be affected this Tuesday (October 1) as the NUT and NASUWT teacher trade unions call on their members to take one-day strike action.
The planned action is in relation to ongoing disputes about pay, pensions working conditions and jobs.
Central Beds Council say schools will contact families directly in advance to let them know about any full or partial closures, where this is known.
Additionally, schools will also update the State of Schools section of the council’s website (www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures) on Tuesday.
A council spokesman said: “This will provide live information on the position of each school, so that everyone is clear about which schools are closed.
“Parents should contact their child’s school if they have any questions.”
