Woburn hosting two days of summer fun

Last year's event

Last year's event

You might have thought that the summer events were drawing to a close in recent weeks, but you’d be wrong.

TheWoburn Festival is back this weekend (August 30-31), promising two days of family fun, music and entertainment in the picturesque village.

A flea market, food stllas and music will be pulling in visitors to the Pitchings – the cobbled area in the heart of the village.

St Mary’s Churchyard will be busy too, with lots of fun and games for the kids to get stuck into.

Waggy tails are expected to be plentiful too, with a dog show.

Rover, time to spruce up!

Inside the church the MKSA will be holding their annual exhibition.

The Heritage Centre on Bedford Street will host a competition for produce.

Who will walk off with the prize for the best pumpkin? Who will bake the best banana cake, and who will show up with the best bloomers...erm, we mean blooms?!

There is more fun to be had on Sunday when a stream of vintage motorbikes will ride through the village, and at 3.30pm there will be lots of to-ing and fro-ing at the tug-of-war competition, also taking place in the churchyard...
