The official ‘handing over of the keys’ for the new University Technical College in Houghton Regis takes place next week.

On Monday, September 2, contractors will hand the keys over to principal designate of the newly-renovated Kingsland site, Bob Shore.

The specialised college will be open to students aged 14-19, and is sponsored by Central Bedfordshire College in Dunstable.

Mainly focusing on engineering, manufacturing and product design courses, the college will be an opportunity for young people to gain a headstart in their chosen field.
