Court Drive: Councillor confirms ‘saucer-sized’ speed sign will be improved

Central Beds Councillor Nigel Young has told the Gazette the 20mph speed limit in Court Drive will be signed clearer by the time the ‘Streetscape’ roadworks are completed this month.

He told the Gazette: “You can’t see it, so we’re moving it and we’re enlarging it, and we’re putting it on a cantilever which makes it stick out.”

Motorists have described the sign – which is situated at the Kingsway entrance to Court Drive – as ‘the size of a saucer’.

For the full story, and the full interview with Mr Young and senior engineer Ben Gadsby, see next week’s Dunstable Gazette – out on Wednesday.
