Crime in Central Beds has fallen over the last six months, with recorded incidents falling by 10 per cent this year up to June.

MP For South West Bedfordshire Andrew Selous said: “It is very welcome news that crime in Bedfordshire has fallen and fallen much further than in the rest of England and Wales. Everyone should be able to feel secure in their homes and safe on the streets.

“The police in Bedfordshire are stepping up and rising to the challenge of providing value for money and this fall in crime is testament to their hard work.”
