Delays after M1 accident

One lane is currently closed on the southbound M1 after a collision between a lorry and a car.

Emergency services are on the scene and a Bedfordshire Police spokesman said firefighters had had to cut people out of the car as they were complaining of neck and back pain.

No-one is thought to have suffered serious injuries.

Motorists are currently experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes but traffic is expected to be back to normal by 3.30pm.
