Expert tips for women on personal safety
Session also offers advice on car maintenance and insurance pitfalls
A free evening to help women to stay safe while travelling alone will be held in Dunstable next week.
Personal safety trainer Liz Clark will be the guest speaker at the event, at Hartwell Ford.
The evening runs from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday, March 31, at the London Road venue.
Liz has been involved in personal safety for more than 10 years, after being a victim of a sexual assault and attempted rape.
She will be giving an inspiring talk, with a light-hearted approach, on how to stay safe.
And women can also pick up tips on basic car maintenance, and avoiding insurance pitfalls.
Tea, coffee and muffins will be provided for those attending.
The event is being organised in association with Hartwell Ford and A-Plan Insurance.
An A-Plan specialist will give advice on common errors which can result in car insurance becoming invalid, such as leaving keys in the ignition while de-icing a car.
Hartwell Ford mechanics will demonstrate basic car maintenance, and give guidance on the type of equipment to keep in the boot in case of breakdowns.
Places are limited and it is essential to book in advance for this event, open to women of all ages.
To book a place, email postbox@cleverboxevents.com or call 0754 0375484.
