HAVE you sent in a nomination for the first Dunstable Business and Community Awards yet?

Nominations close at the end of this month and the awards will be held at the Grove Theatre on November 21.

Organisers Katey Horne and Sandie Copp of Networking@Dunstable say they are thrilled at the number of local businesses that have chosen to sponsor the awards.

Those who have signed up so far include Holiday Inn Express, Dunstable Town Council, training and development specialists Crabtree, social enterprise Interiors R U, Long Live Dunstable, Whipsnade Zoo, and business development consultant Lynne Johnson.

Holiday Inn Express is sponsoring the Most ‘Green’ Business category, and general manager Louise Thrussell said it was a way to thank the local community for all their support.

She said: “We are proud to be sponsoring the first Dunstable Business and Community Awards.

“The awards represent the increasing need to recognise the hard work of local people and organisations to ensure Dunstable is a thriving business area.

“Since opening in June we’ve received overwhelming support from other businesses in the area.”
