Flowering talent at garden fans’ summer show

Everything in the garden will be lovely at Houghton Regis Horticultural Society’s latest show.

The 51st summer show will be in the Memorial Hall, opposite The Green, on Saturday, September 8.

Exhibits will include vegetables, fruit, cut flowers, cacti, fuchsias, pot plants and preserves.

Doors open at 2pm, admission 50p. Entry is 25p for senior citizens and children.

Anyone who would like to display home-grown vegetables or flowers should call the show secretary on 01582 864821 for a schedule and entry form. There is also a children’s section with three age groups.
